Men and women compete on the same playing field in few sports, but in motor racing, Wellington's Chelles Roberts is holding her own. And she takes pride in being able to "do it herself". A member of Harbour Capital Car Club, Chelles has been involved in motorsport for almost 19 years. As time has gone on, this enthusiastic amateur has become more and more passionate about the sport, pushed by her competitive and independent nature to constantly improve. For her, the pleasure is both the speed and the test of skill and talent involved in motorsport. She is currently racing a Mitsubishi RS Mirage 1996 which she has had for nine years. PIVOT were commissioned by Capital Magazine to document Chelles' in her workshop.
